Objective
The group investigates processes and procedures of meaning-making (semiosis) and learning at the intersection of technologies and the arts in the sciences (with an emphasis on cognitive sciences: neuroscience, semiotics, linguistics, psychology, neuropsychopedagogy, etc.) and health. It focuses on transversal dialogical processes between curricular content and sensitive (artistic) and technological forms of knowledge construction. The research is guided by the understanding that mediation through sensitive experiences can serve as a pathway to enhance comprehension and (re)signification of the teaching-learning process, generating new semiotic and cognitive pathways in science and health education. The group aims to theorize, propose, test, and analyze aesthetic-technological procedures as mediation processes in teaching and learning.
The research group includes 6 researchers, 7 students (2 Ph.D. candidates, 4 master’s students, and 1 undergraduate research assistant in artistic-scientific initiation), and 1 international collaborator.
