The Graduate Program in Sciences and Health Education (PPGECS) at the Nutes Institute of UFRJ is accepting applications for its PhD program from April 14 to May 15, 2025.​

A total of 31 positions are available, including slots for affirmative action candidates (Black, Brown, Indigenous, individuals with disabilities, transgender individuals, quilombolas, and refugees), as well as positions for UFRJ public servants and international applicants.​

PPGECS is part of the Teaching area of CAPES and has received the highest rating, 7, in the national postgraduate evaluation. Its concentration area is Teaching in Sciences and Health, structured into three research lines:​

  • Professional and Teacher Training in Sciences and Health
  • Sociocultural Mediations in Sciences and Health
  • Educational Technology in Sciences and Health​

I am offering two supervision opportunities in this call, focusing on research into meaning-making processes at the intersection of cognition, language, arts, and technologies, with particular attention to the following themes:​

  • Art, media, and cognition in educational processes and scientific dissemination;
  • Neurosciences and technoscientific imagination in higher and continuing education and in scientific dissemination;
  • Video-based simulation and telehealth in health education;
  • Spirituality, subjectivity, and scientific culture in scientific dissemination and health education;
  • Virtual museums and technological experiences in non-formal education and scientific dissemination;
  • Multilingualism and media in higher and continuing education and in scientific dissemination.​

Please note: Proficiency in Portuguese is required for participation in the program.​
